1. The GarageDoor.biz Marketplace Platform
GarageDoor.biz is an independent directory and technology marketplace connecting property owners with independent, verified garage door service professionals and distributors. GarageDoor.biz does not directly perform overhead door construction or maintenance work. Independent contractors listed in our directory are independent business entities responsible for their own workmanship, insurance, local permits, and warranties.
2. Upfront Quote & Pricing Standards
To ensure consumer protection, all contractors participating in our verified dispatch network agree to our Upfront Price Transparency Standard:
- Contractors must present a clear, itemized quote (parts, labor, diagnostic fee) before initiating any non-emergency repair.
- Digital Change Order Shield Protocol: If unexpected or hidden damage (such as cracked bearing plates or bent track radiuses) is uncovered during repair, no supplementary charge may be assessed without presenting photo/video documentation and obtaining explicit customer sign-off.
- Homeowners have the absolute right to decline service upon receiving the diagnostic inspection quote without incurring penalties beyond the standard diagnostic fee.
3. Contractor Verification & Licensing Disclaimer
While GarageDoor.biz regularly audits contractor licensing boards (e.g. CSLB, TDLR) and reviews certificate of insurance (COI) submissions, customers are encouraged to verify current contractor standing and local permit requirements prior to executing high-value residential or commercial capital installations.
4. Contractor Profile Claims & Directory Rules
Contractors claiming or listing their business profile agree to:
- Provide truthful, accurate business details, address information, and state contractor license numbers.
- Refrain from posting fraudulent reviews, false affiliations, or infringing intellectual property.
- Promptly notify GarageDoor.biz of any change in insurance status, license suspension, or business closure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GarageDoor.biz, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from work performed by independent contractors, system downtime, or unauthorized access to communication streams.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
